PalinGen Amniotic Tissue Therapy

We are proud to offer PalinGen amniotic fluid and membrane injections for a variety of orthopaedic joint problems and degenerative disc disease.

PalinGen is obtained from healthy donors who have volunteered to donate their placentas, after undergoing elective Caesarian delivery. Each donor has submitted their medical and social history for medical director review. The donated tissue is collected aseptically, then tested before processing and cleansing, and once again on the final product. PalinGen have developed their procedures based on 21CFR Part 1271 and the American Association of Tissue Banks rules and guidelines.

Injuries are often charaterized by damage to the extra-cellular matrix (ECM) that forms muscles, ligaments or tendons in the human body. Collagen is the most abundant structural protein in the connective tissue ECM and acts as a natural scaffold for cellular attachement and tissue repair. The amniotic fluid and membrane contained in PalinGen Flow, are a rich source of collagen, as well as other proteins, carbohydrates, hyaluronic acid, and growth factors needed for repairing tissues.

Dr. Stiegler applies PalinGen directly to the area of injury using asecptic injection techniques. Initial consultation is complementary, and if the patient is a candidate,  the procedure can be completed within a 30 minute appointment in most instances.

Amniotic tissue qualifies as allograft under 21 CFR Part 1271 and section 361 of the Public Health Service Act.  It is minimally manipulated (nothing added).  This means that the FDA recognizes that the properties of amniotic membranes are approved for use as long as the tissues are for homologous use (which is defined as the product performing the same basic function in the donor and in the recipient).

There have never been any reported adverse reactions or side effects.

Amniotic Tissue Therapy is not covered under insurance plans.
