A little about me
Dr. Puente was born in Phoenix, AZ and raised in Cape Girardeau, MO. She studied at Southeast Missouri State University where she double majored in Biology and Spanish, as well as played soccer.
Although a lower back and knee injury ended her pursuit of becoming a professional MMA fighter after graduation, it led her to chiropractic school at Los Angeles Chiropractic College within Southern California University of Health Sciences. While at school, Dr. Puente became passionate about yoga and its affect on the nervous system, leading her to complete her 200 hour yoga teacher training in Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga. Dr. Puente graduated as Valedictorian of her class, served as the President of the Student American Chiropractic Association, and was part of a research team that published 3 NIH funded articles. She continues to be passionate about movement, education and empowering her patients to overcome their pain. Additionally, she is certified in dry needling and, under the influence of Dr. Munderloh, continues to add tools to her belt in order to provide the highest standard of care.
