At Munderloh Integrated Medical, chiropractic care uses a holistic and patient-centered approach to improving overall health and well-being. Led by our skilled chiropractors, Dr. Timothy Munderloh and Dr. Sarah Puente, we provide comprehensive care including spinal adjustments, myofascial release technique, Graston, stretching, and therapeutic exercise. Both Dr. Munderloh and Dr. Puente use various adjusting techniques based on the lowest risk and the greatest benefit for the patient, including manual or diversified adjustments, instrument-assisted adjustments (Activator), and drop table adjustments.

Chiropractic Adjustments/Spinal Manipulation:

Spinal adjustments are the hallmark of chiropractic care. These precise and controlled manipulations of the spine are designed to correct restrictions of movement, which can impede functional range of motion and musculoskeletal health. By restoring proper range of motion to the joint, chiropractors aim to alleviate pain, enhance mobility, and allow for return to normal activity.

Soft Tissue Therapies:

Chiropractors employ various soft tissue techniques to address muscle, tendon, and ligament injury or abnormality. These therapies, such as myofascial release, trigger point release, and stretching, address knots, tension, shortened resting tone, and pain. Soft tissue therapies may help to make the spinal manipulation and active care (exercise) more tolerable. Both of our chiropractors also use instrument-assisted soft tissue work, such as Faktr and Graston, as well. Additionally, both Dr. Munderloh and Dr. Puente are certified in dry needling, which can drastically improve results and shorten recovery time for sprains/strains and chronic pain.

Therapeutic Exercise:

Almost every patient will receive active care recommendations from our chiropractic doctors. Exercise is a non-negotiable part of wellness. The doctors will review exercises and provide guidance while in the office, however, it is our goal that every patient is able to perform self-care or self-management outside of our treatment rooms. Our doctors use an online exercise platform, [P]rehab guys, to send exercise programs specific and safe for each patient's condition. This program allows patients easy access to watch videos with cueing and visual examples of the exercise, printed versions with dosing for each exercise, and the ability to access the program forever. We can also update the program as patients progress through treatment.

Stretching Exercises:

Customized stretching routines are often prescribed as part of chiropractic care. These exercises help improve flexibility, maintain muscle balance, and prevent injury. Stretching plays a vital role in enhancing joint mobility and overall musculoskeletal health.
