Pap Smears & Screening
Pap smears are an important screening tool for cervical cancer. Current guidelines recommend screening every 3-5 years for most women, depending on age and history. During your appointment, we'll discuss the appropriate screening schedule for you based on:

- Previous screening results
- Medical and sexual history
- Risk factors
- HPV vaccination status

How often should I get a Pap smear?
Most women need screening every 3–5 years depending on age and history. Women aged 21-29 typically need Pap smears every 3 years. Women aged 30-65 can have Pap smears every 3 years or Pap plus HPV testing every 5 years. Your provider will recommend the best schedule based on your individual health history and risk factors.

No referral is needed to schedule a women's health appointment. You can call our office directly at 928-556-0707 to schedule your visit. We accept most insurance plans including Medicare and Medicaid, and also offer self-pay options.
